A few roadside flowers.
Just time to say farewell to some old friends in the garden.

The new palm leaf (if it is a palm of some sort) continues to unfurl. After last night’s rain it’s dotted with water droplets. http://keithdevereux.blogspot.com/2021/09/an-unfurling-leaf-closeup-7-september.html
Remember the cactus flower from yesterday? Already it has started to die off. A thing of beauty that has last just a few hours. We took the opportunity to check on the water lilies, and this morning a new palm leaf was unfurling.

The garden was blooming yesterday. The magnolia tree, with its spiky flower buds and white flowers, a cactus — whose flowers will only last a few hours — and of course, our old favourite the water lillies. http://keithdevereux.blogspot.com/2021/09/in-garden-closeup-5-september-2021.html

Waiting outside the local surgery for my partner to receive her Covid-19 vaccination. A perfect opportunity to snap away at a selection of urban flowers.
…I had a chance for a little early-morning bee chasing…
