Every year on Dia da Morte, it’s customary to leave flowers and light candles in reflection. We were lucky enough to be given these beautiful blooms.
Learning more about my DJI Pocket 2. Today, in anticipation of a trip to Aveiro, it was time to practise with the panorama settings. I headed out to Águas Boas before heading home on my normal route through the woods.
As the sun dipped towards the horizon, it was time for a walk in the woods.
A mixture of flowers from gardens and in the woods.

Out for a walk a dragonfly alighted on a nearby tree to take a brief rest. How could I resist?

Remember the cactus flower from yesterday? Already it has started to die off. A thing of beauty that has last just a few hours. We took the opportunity to check on the water lilies, and this morning a new palm leaf was unfurling.

The garden was blooming yesterday. The magnolia tree, with its spiky flower buds and white flowers, a cactus — whose flowers will only last a few hours — and of course, our old favourite the water lillies. http://keithdevereux.blogspot.com/2021/09/in-garden-closeup-5-september-2021.html
