The area around our local Lidl is one of my favourite spots to take photographs. Today I took out the 3€ Casio for some shots of the nearby abandoned building and the supermarket.

Who on earth would buy a broken mirrorless camera? I picked up this Olympus Pen E-PL1 from Kamerastore with broken image stabilization. I wasn’t looking for anything perfect but I recently discovered the Lomography Experimental Lens kit and it looks like it might be an interesting project. I’m thinking freelensing and a possible future conversion

This house opposite the post office in Oliveira has been abandoned for decades. On the front someone has stencilled, ‘they have guns, but we have flowers,’ a reference to the 1974 carnation revolution in Portugal that overthrew the fascist government.
