To finish off the festivities were an all-female group covering popular Portuguese songs. This is Monica Sintra, Nucha e Ana…
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js Quim Barreiros is a legend in Portugal. You probably know him for Recebi Um Convite (À Casa Da Jóquina), which features as Buzzfeed’s one of the worst record album covers of all time, but he probably started off the whole concept of Pimba music single-handed. We were delighted yesterday to find that the management company for Amor Electro have selected some of our images from the concert at Fiacoba 2012 to appear on their latest press release.
Last year Grupo Fax came to the festival in Silveira. This was one of the first concerts that we covered.

Last weekend was the Festa at Águas Boas, near Carris. On the Sunday evening was a local group, Banda Europa, who performed a great set. As is usual for these events, the show started after 22:00 and didn’t finish much before 02:00. It was a long night, but intense.
Banda Europa were there and put on a splendid show.
Our most recent outing was to see Amor Electro, probably the most popular Portuguese band at the moment, who came to Fiacoba 2012, a local festival in Oliveira do Bairro.
Amor Electro are probably the most popular band in Portugal at the moment, so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to see them when they came to Fiacoba 2012 in Oliveira.
