I’ve been using the ‘high specification’ Sony Mavica MVC-FD81 for much of the #1990sCameraChallenge, but I thought it might be nice to see a sunrise through its more basic sibling, the MVC-FD51.
Like before, I held an ND filter over the lens to take off the glare of the rising sun. This time, though, instead of the fixed ND4 filter I used my variable ND filter ramped up to near maximum as the sun was a little higher in the sky.
The results were very strange, the natural colours degraded to a dull green looking ‘Matrix-like’ landscape. I’m not sure whether this was because of the filter or the sensor, but I like it’s #ShittyAesthetic.
These panoramas are two or three frames stitched together with the phone app Bimostitch.
