Late afternoon in the woods, 26 July 2022

The original plan was to take the full spectrum Lumix and the Urth 720nm Infrared filter to the beach, but it was so windy I didn’t want to take any risks with the camera, I’ve already cleaned out one large grain of sand from the sensor and I didn’t want to go through that experience again.

However, on the way home the wind died down and there was a brief opportunity for some late afternoon infrared photography in the woods. I really liked how the sunlit trees were still coming out a bright white on the infrared but where the evening shadows were falling the trees were pitch black.
